Era Training Center Expands Night Vision Goggle (NVG) Program
(firmenpresse) - LAKE CHARLES, LA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/09/12 -- Era Training Center (ETC) is proud to announce its Night Vision Goggle Program (NVG) expansion. As a global supplier of helicopter training services, ETC provides industry relevant training courses to enhance safety and operational readiness to helicopter operators throughout the globe. As NVGs continue to proliferate within civil and paramilitary organizations, ETC has answered the call for a superior NVG training solution. Based upon Era Helicopters' extensive experience with NVG operations to include Air Medical and Search and Rescue operations (SAR), ETC's NVG course provides a real-world, scenario-based NVG training solution.
Supported by Night Flight Concepts, a Bedford, Texas-based NVG solution company, ETC provides in-house NVG training to include pilot, flight instructor, and maintenance technician courses. Pilot ground training will include the Night Readiness Virtual Terrain Board (VTB), NVIO; an FAA approved computer-based training program, and flight training in the AS350B2. ETC will add NVGs to their existing FAA Part 142 Certificate in 4Q 2012. Off-site NVG training is available; not limited to a particular type of aircraft.

They often perpetuate old military methods that differ from civil implementation. ETC training focuses on civil NVG requirements specializing in train-the-trainer programs. Era Training Center (ETC), a joint venture between Era Helicopters, LLC and Frasca International, provides sophisticated, multidisciplinary helicopter flight training through innovative programs, state-of-the-art Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs) and real-aircraft flight time. ETC holds a CFR Part 142 Certificate, designating it as an FAA-approved training center, and also is certified by ANAC, the aviation authority of Brazil. ETC's existing Lake Charles, Louisiana, facility features three FAA-approved Level 6 FSTDs; the EC135 P2+ and AS350B2 designed by Frasca International, and the AW139 designed by AgustaWestland as prime contractor, partnering with Frasca International.
ETC offers diverse training programs that are provided to a wide array of helicopter personnel, including corporate, oil and gas, EMS, ENG, law enforcement, government and military users. ETC is a USAIG approved "Safety Bucks" training center.
