Lawrence McMahon of Alliant Insurance Services Elected First Vice President of National Surety Association
Based in Alliant's San Diego Office, McMahon Plays Key Leadership Role in Surety Operations of Firm's Construction Services Group
(firmenpresse) - NEWPORT BEACH, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/02/12 -- Surety executive Lawrence F. McMahon, Executive Vice President in the Construction Services Group of Alliant Insurance Services, Inc. (), the nation's leading specialty insurance brokerage firm, has been elected First Vice President of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP).
McMahon, who is based in Alliant's San Diego office, joined the company in 2000 and has been instrumental in the growth of its surety business. He is responsible for managing numerous large surety placements nationally and providing surety advice to the company's construction and public entity practices.
As NASBP First Vice President, McMahon is in line to become President of the organization in 2013. He serves on the NASBP Board of Directors and has been a Level II faculty member of the organization's William J. Angell Surety School since 2000. He also serves as a member of a NASBP subcommittee that developed the curriculum for the association's new sales workshop for bond producers and is a member of the organization's Professional Development and Education Committee, Government Relations Committee, and the Surety Information Office Policy Board.
In San Diego, McMahon is active in the Engineering & General Contractors Association and the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). In both 2002 and 2010, he received the AGC San Diego chapter's Affiliate of the Year Award. In 1992, he was one of the first to be awarded the only designation in the surety industry, the Associate of Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB).
McMahon is a graduate of Siena College in Loudonville, NY.
