SPRING LAKE, NJ -- June 28, 2012 -- New Jersey Monthly magazine has recently named Dr. Peter Ciampi to its list of for 2012. The list comprises 323 dentists in nine different specialties who have been nominated by their peers for this distinction. As the only general dentist in Southern Monmouth Co. to be selected, Dr. Ciampi says he is honored to earn the recognition of his colleagues and hopes this award is a testament to the commitment he has made to providing patients with the highest quality care in cosmetic dentistry.
At his practice, Spring Lake Dental Care, Dr. Ciampi focuses on a wide variety of aesthetic procedures ranging from porcelain veneers and teeth whitening to laser and restorative dentistry techniques. Having dedicated well over 1100 hours to continued education and advanced dental techniques such as , Dr. Ciampi credits his selection to the New Jersey Monthly magazine's list to his passion for pursuing the best treatment for his patients. He says he feels grateful to be included amongst such a distinguished group of dentists and is looking forward to broadening the reach of his practice through his new achievements.
New Jersey Monthly conducted the survey for this year's feature based on responses from a questionnaire sent to the state's 6,444 dentists who have been licensed in New Jersey for at least five years. After all eligible ballots were received, a panel of 15 dentists reviewed the nominations and made their selections based on the top vote gatherers for each of the nine dental specialties. Doctors are not notified of their inclusion until after the list has been finalized, so no one can pay to be a part of the New Jersey Monthly selection.
Dr. Ciampi says he is encouraged by the support he has received from his patients and colleagues in being chosen for the New Jersey Top Dentists and hopes it will serve to fuel his inspiration and motivation for offering the safest and most effective treatments. He also says he is excited about the future of his practice and the ability to continue proving his dedication to patient care.
A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, completed his general practice residency at the Naval Hospital in Bethesda, MD. He served with the United States Navy Dental Corps, after which he completed a postgraduate training in cosmetic dentistry at the University of California, Los Angeles Center for Esthetic Dentistry. Dr. Ciampi has also participated in continued education courses at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies and the Pankey Institute in Miami. He has recently achieved mastership status, the highest honor available from the Academy of General Dentistry, and is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Ciampi was also selected in 2010 as a . He regularly contributes his time and services to helping others through community outreach and giving back to Remote Area Medical (RAM), a non-profit, volunteer organization for providing free health and dental care to the underserved.
