Statement by the American Academy of Ophthalmology Regarding Supreme Court Ruling on Health Care Law
(firmenpresse) - WASHINGTON, DC and SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/28/12 -- The American Academy of Ophthalmology issued the following statement in response to today's ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States on the constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The statement is provided by David W. Parke II, M.D., CEO of the Academy.
"The American Academy of Ophthalmology is committed to working with Congress on solutions to expand coverage for the more than 40 million uninsured individuals in the United States, and simultaneously push for key changes in the health care law that protect patients' access to quality vision care.
