Vitera Healthcare Solutions Donates Equipment to Free Clinic in Polk County, Florida
(firmenpresse) - TAMPA, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 06/27/12 -- , one of the nation's largest providers of electronic health records and practice management software and services, announced today its support of Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine (LVIM). The Tampa-based healthcare IT provider has donated equipment to help the clinic transition to electronic health records (EHR).
LVIM is a free multi-specialty clinic offering on-site labs, x-ray, pharmacy and small surgical procedures to the working uninsured of Polk County in Florida. The clinic, which was established in 2001 and receives no government funding, is staffed by only 5 employees and the help of 180 volunteers including doctors, nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists, front desk, medical records. All medical services provided at the clinic are funded through private grants and its annual Lakeland Derby fundraiser.
The clinic began using Vitera Intergy practice management in May 2012 and is currently implementing Vitera Intergy EHR. Vitera Healthcare Solutions donated 23 computer monitors and four printers to facilitate the clinic's switch to EHR.
