Government of Canada Invests in Canadian Forces and Industry in Nepean
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 06/27/12 -- The Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence today announced that Pylon Electronics Inc. of Nepean, Ontario has been awarded a contract worth 5.98 million for the repair, overhaul, and testing of electronic equipment used by the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Forces (DND/CF) over the next two years.
"Our government is committed to giving the Canadian Forces the equipment needed to be successful in their missions, while supporting industry right here in Nepean," said Minister Fantino. "Today's announcement once again demonstrates our efforts to provide our Canadian Forces with the critical tools they need to protect our interests now and in the future."
This contract is for the calibration, adjustment, and associated repair and overhaul of various electronic and physical properties test equipment at DND units in Ontario, Quebec, and the Prairies. The contract was awarded following a competitive procurement process.

The contract is for two years, and includes three individual one-year renewal options. In line with the Canada First Defence Strategy, the Government is committed to providing the CF with the right equipment to perform their missions through open, fair, and transparent procurement practices. The contract will help sustain 25 jobs in Nepean, Ontario.
