Ordina wins Oracle Accelerate Award with ERP solution for the food sector

Ordina has won the Oracle Accelerate Award for 2012. Ordina won this award for
its recently certified Oracle Accelerate solution for the food sector. With this
solution, based on Oracle JD Edwards, Ordina offers clients in the food sector a
complete Enterprise Resource Planning solution (ERP) within a 12-week period
from the date of purchase and at a very reasonable price. This solution flows
directly from Ordina's strategy to develop ready to use business solutions for
focus markets, such as the industry market.
Ordina's food solution is a ready-to-use solution, based on Software as a
Service and Cloud technology. This means that clients do not need to invest
heavily in hardware and software. This ERP solution is unique in this market
because of its quick implementation time and its competitive pricing; it is
offered as a fixed monthly subscription. Ordina offers the solution in
combination with the possibility to host and operate it, dependant on the
client's wishes. As result of the speedy implementation, more time and attention
can go toward training end users.
The Oracle Partner Awards ceremony was held at Beach Club Fuel in Bloemendaal on
Monday 25th of June.
From the judges' report: The winner of the Oracle Accelerate Award, Ordina, has
distinguished itself by the excellent cooperation with Oracle Sales for the
joint development of the market. In this case, the food market was targeted with
a JD Edwards based solution. The solution offers a complete functioning hosted
environment, including implementation and operations. It requires hardly any
investment from clients, delivers the exact functionality that they require and
it offers the guarantees and reliability that their clients expect from them. To
top it all off: all of this at lower costs than the solution that the client is
presently using.
"Developing ready-to-use solutions for specific sectors is part of our strategy.
The food solution that we developed is a good example of this", according to Wim
de Fiouw, Director of Ordina's Oracle Solutions unit. "This award acknowledges
the value that our solution represents for our clients. With our solution, we
offer clients in the food sector a completely implemented and functioning ERP
system for a fixed subscription fee per month. Clients can profit from fully
supported business critical processes within 12 weeks. This allows clients to
focus on their actual business operations, instead of having to invest a lot of
energy into time consuming and complex software implementations."
