Ameristar Casinos Promotes Christie Scott to Regional Public Relations Manager

(NASDAQ: ASCA) today announced that Christie Scott has been promoted to the position of Regional Public Relations Manager for Ameristar Casinos, Inc. In her new role, Scott will manage media relations, internal communications and various community relations functions for Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Ameristar Casino Resort Spa Black Hawk in Black Hawk, Colo.
Scott joined Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs January 2007 as Public Relations Manager. She has more than 15 years of communications and community relations experience, and came to Ameristar from Alegent Health Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs where she served as the Foundation Director.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Missouri Western State University. She serves on the board of the Council Bluffs Leadership Alumni Association, is a member of the Omaha Chapter of PRSA and is active in many community organizations.
