Media Advisory: Media Invitation to the 17th Ministerial Conference on the Canadian Francophonie
(firmenpresse) - EDMONTON, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/22/12 -- Federal, provincial and territorial ministers responsible for the Canadian Francophonie are meeting in Edmonton, Alberta, on June 26 and 27 for the 17th Ministerial Conference on the Canadian Francophonie. The theme of the conference is "Francophones and Francophiles: More than a Language in Common!"
The Honourable Heather Klimchuk, Minister of Alberta Culture responsible for the Francophone Secretariat, will co-chair the conference with the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

The Ministerial Conference on the Canadian Francophonie, created in 1994, is the only intergovernmental forum that brings together all the ministers responsible for the Canadian Francophonie. The Conference works to make the Canadian Francophonie an open, vibrant, diverse community that contributes fully to the development of Canadian society.
