In cooperation with a German engineering company, an "adaptive motion" technology was developed for the foot plates and subsequently patented. This resulted in an overall length of only 1.4m/1.5m which is shorter than many fold-away models in the market today but without reducing the stability of the machine.
The stride length of the elliptically moving foot plates can be adjusted, a feature not often found on machines in the gym, the magnetically adjusted resistance runs smoothly as one would expect from a high spec machine. The retail price for the JTX Smart Stride 21 is £499 and for the Smart Stride 23 £799 which is exceptional value compared to other machines of comparable quality.
To their offering of two standard motorised treadmills in the £600-£700 price bracket, JTX Fitness have added the JTX Sprint9 folding treadmill, a higher end product which offers a longer and wider belt, a heart rate monitor and music docking station for iPod and USB. The treadmill is not only delivered for free by two men into the customer"s room of choice, it is comes with a 3 years warranty on parts, labour, delivery and collection which reflects JTX"s industry leading attitude to customer service and commitment. An incline of up to 15 degrees make this machine comparable with most gym treadmills and surprisingly, it still folds away for storage.
