SwiftKey Healthcare is an on-screen keyboard solution for iOS, Android, Windows and BlackBerry that offers next-word predictions based on real-world clinical data. Working in partnership with leading medical software business Homecare Homebase, it has already been licensed to four healthcare organizations: Bayada Home Health Care, Alternate Solutions HomeCare, Community Home Health and Hospice, and the Visiting Nursing Association of South East Missouri.
SwiftKey Healthcare's keyboard software solves the frustrations normally associated with writing on smartphones and tablets. Powered by cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology based on Natural Language Processing, it delivers text predictions customized with the specific words and phrases used by healthcare professionals. Accurate next-word predictions mean it can take just a few keystrokes to write out complicated drug names and medical conditions.
Time spent on text input was reduced by an average of 49 percent, saving a typical user nearly half an hour of typing every working day.
Clinicians saved keystrokes at a rate of 3.4 million key presses per week, an average of 7,619 keystrokes for every user.
Average word count increased by 10 percent, suggesting clinicians were able to make fuller, more detailed notes.
