Trident Capital Promotes Taimur Shaikh to Vice President
(firmenpresse) - PALO ALTO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/20/12 -- Trident Capital, a leading venture capital firm focused on Software, Internet, and Business Services companies, today announced that Taimur Shaikh has been promoted to vice president.
"Taimur has played a pivotal role in our late-stage and Healthcare IT efforts over the last few years," said John Moragne, a Trident Capital co-founder and senior managing director. "This promotion is in recognition of his strategic involvement at Trident and his demonstrated skills in deal sourcing and execution."
Most recently, Shaikh was integrally involved in the firm's investments in Advanced ICU Care and HealthMEDX, where he is a board observer. He will continue to focus on the firm's late-stage investment efforts, with an emphasis on the Healthcare IT and Education IT sectors.
Shaikh joined Trident Capital in 2010 after graduating from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Prior to business school, he was an investment professional at Oak Hill Capital Partners and an investment banker at Lehman Brothers. Shaikh holds a B.A. in Business/Economics from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
