USA Olympic Basketball Chair Jerry Colangelo Says Integrity Is the "i" in Winning Gold in London

Colangelo has and will be driving the Integrity message to players representing the USA at the Olympics in London.

Integrity will again be a loud and prominent theme and in my mind the key to winning in London too," Colangelo said.
For Colangelo, the internationally recognized, highly successful sports executive and businessman who built his career on hand shakes and keeping his word, applying the integrity test to all aspects of his mission and the players will put the team on the golden pedestal.
"My application of integrity is 360 degrees. Plying integrity to win the gold means: integrity in the commitment to do what's right in all aspects of life, to be a good team player, integrity in how we represent our fellow Americans, how we conduct ourselves whether in the public eye or not, being true to family, friends and colleagues and doing the very best possible that we can, while never compromising on integrity," Colangelo explained.
Colangelo has been driving an Integrity awareness campaign for several years including Integrity-themed speaking engagements to graduate students and others. He has presented Integrity speeches at Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management, Arizona State University and University of Arizona as well as at Integrity Summit 2011. Colangelo hosted Integrity Summit 2011 and will host again at Integrity Summit 2012 set for September 14th in Phoenix.
"From my vantage point, integrity is the 'i' in winning. We all have seen and heard about those who ignore integrity and try to take improper short cuts, who secretly use enhancement drugs to win but end up losing, who break the rules and morality, do less to get more and in the end they fail because they didn't base all on integrity," said Colangelo.
