Free World United, an apparel company founded by three University of Notre Dame graduates (who happen to be brothers), is committed to social responsibility and focuses on the sustainability of the Earth's most unlikely place. We are pleased to announce the official launch of our exclusive artist collection and new online store. To celebrate our site launch, we are offering free shipping with the purchase of two or more graphic t-shirts through July 15, 2012.
In 1986 our family committed its future to a remarkable but increasingly fragile archipelago. Our childhood summers spent on the Galapagos showed us nature's strength, beauty but also its fragility. Despite being granted status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Galapagos face an onslaught of man made threats which include illegal fishing (in what is the second largest marine reserve in the world) along with unsustainable immigration to the islands from a variety of foreign species. We believe in Natural Capital. We maintain the principles of responsibility that older generations have taught us, to go beyond preservation and demand sustainability.
Free World United currently contributes primarily to organizations that help the Galapagos Islands and mainland Ecuador, including The Charles Darwin Foundation, Fundacion Natura (part of the World Wildlife Fund) and The Galapagos Scouts. When you purchase a t-shirt from Free World United we donate 10% of each sale to a featured organization. If t-shirts are purchased in the Charitable Organizations section, the entirety of the proceeds are given to the corresponding organization. Additionally, with your support, we will use our growth to support other organizations around the globe.
Free World United's graphic t-shirts for men and women offer a fashionable fit and showcase exclusive designs in several categories such as retro/vintage, travel, sports, music, nature, latin spirit and charity to name a few. Our t-shirts are made in the U.S.A. from the highest quality materials and, through superior printing technology and eco-friendly production processes, we produce superb prints that are soft to the touch and true to the artist's design. Our t-shirts are not mass-produced and are individually printed by a quality-devoted staff member who seals each finished product with the Free World United logo.
Currently the Free World United Artist community is made up of friends of our family. As Free World United grows, we intend to recruit artists from around the globe who share our passion for design and our values. Artists are rewarded with a percentage of every sale of their design. Co-Founders Francisco and Eduardo Diez are also part of the artist catalogue.
