Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. Announces Sale of Navios Buena Ventura
(firmenpresse) - PIRAEUS, GREECE -- (Marketwire) -- 06/18/12 -- Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. ("Navios Holdings") (NYSE: NM), a global, vertically integrated seaborne shipping and logistics company, announced today that it has sold the Navios Buena Ventura, a 2010-built Capesize vessel of 179,259 dwt, to Navios Maritime Partners L.P. ("Navios Partners") (NYSE: NMM) for a $67.5 million cash consideration.
Navios Holdings has used $26.8 million out of the proceeds of the transaction for debt repayment. Navios Holdings intends to use the balance of the proceeds from the sale of the vessel for operating purposes.
