Celebrating 25 Years of Sunny Mornings! The Queen of Breakfasts Now Shares Her Passion With Guests Across Canada!

It was in 1987 that Mme Cora Tsouflidou opened the first Chez Cora restaurant in Ville St-Laurent, Quebec. Initially working with her 3 children, she has seen the Cora family grow, and is now sharing her passion for breakfast with nearly 4,000 team members. Today, the Cora network of 130 locations from coast to coast serves 250,000 guests a week. It is with great pride that she shares this important milestone with guests across the country throughout the summer. Everyone is invited to join in as celebrations kick off on June 19. On that morning, limited quantities of a special-edition anniversary mug will be given to guests with their meal.
The philosophy behind Cora's success is simple: quality food and quality service. Mme. Cora strongly believes that if you offer customers the best, they will come back. Cora's is famous for its all-day breakfast fare that boasts mounds of fresh fruit artfully prepared on-site by specially-trained "fruiters." Over the years, Cora has created more than 100 menu ideas, inspired by family traditions, health trends, customer requests and suggestions from her children. Many of these menu items are still named after the customer or family member who inspired the creation.
Two years ago, the chain launched the "I do breakfast" campaign, promoting the importance of breakfast for Canadians. In line with the founder's vision, the web-supported initiative promotes and presents the benefits of the most important meal of the day.
Currently, the primary expansion focus continues to be in Western Canada: BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Additional expansion plans are in place for Manitoba and in yet to be addressed Ontario markets. The next 12 months will see the chain's growth continue as 15 openings will be announced.
With 130 locations across Canada, Cora is the largest sit-down breakfast operation in Canada. Cora Breakfast and Lunch offers customers quality food and service in a cozy family setting Monday to Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
