KARE 11 Wins 2 National Edward R. Murrow Awards
19th National Award for KARE 11
(firmenpresse) - GOLDEN VALLEY, MN -- (Marketwire) -- 06/12/12 -- It was announced today that KARE 11 has received two National Edward R. Murrow Awards by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA).
KARE 11 reporter Rena Sarigianopoulos and photojournalist Gary Knox were awarded a National Murrow Award for Video Reporting, Hard News for their work on the dramatic rise in homeless teens. KARE 11 reporter Boyd Huppert was also honored for his writing. This is Huppert's eighth award in his 28-year career. Huppert was recognized for a compilation of three stories: "Alexandria Earthquake" with photojournalist Craig Norkus, "Poetry Magnate" with photojournalist Jonathan Malat, and "Duffers" with photojournalist Jonathan Malat.
