(firmenpresse) - SACO, ME -- (Marketwire) -- 06/12/12 -- is offering ergonomically designed, precision industrial scissors that are manufactured especially for cutting the Kevlar® fiber strength component of fiber optic cables. They are ideal for assembly, production, and field installation use.
The are designed with tapered tips that can reach into tight spaces and have one serrated edge for gripping the Kevlar® fibers and a sharp edge for cutting them. Eliminating cumbersome finger loops, these feature cushioned rubber handles and a convenient return spring.
Comfortable to hold in either hand because of the design, construction and elimination of conventional finger loops, the Xuron® Model 9180 Kevlar® Shears are an ergonomic alternative for shift workers. The cutting edges are heat treated to Rc 58-60 to provide exceptional cutting and long-life.
