Matt Schuffert Appointed Senior Vice President and General Manager of Ameristar Casino Hotel East Chicago
(firmenpresse) - LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwire) -- 06/12/12 -- Ameristar Casinos, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASCA) today announced that Matt Schuffert has been appointed as the new Senior Vice President and General Manager of Ameristar Casino Hotel East Chicago.
Schuffert recently served as Ameristar East Chicago's Assistant General Manager and Vice President of Finance, a role that he held since August 2008. He originally joined Ameristar East Chicago in June 2005 as a Financial Accounting Manager and was later promoted to Financial Controller. In 2006, Schuffert was promoted to Director of Finance and then became the Vice President of Finance. His financial management career spans over 17 years, including nine years with MWH, Inc.
"During the past few years, Matt has worked closely with the East Chicago executive team to oversee the operations of the property. He has demonstrated a commitment to Ameristar's core values and has employed a collaborative style to deliver solid financial performance in spite of economic challenges. Under his leadership, team member satisfaction results have improved year after year, and there has been a great focus on providing a highly satisfying guest experience as evidenced by the awards many departments have won within Ameristar," said Ameristar Senior Vice President of Operations Michelle Shriver. Schuffert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in actuarial science from the University of Indiana.
