Citizens For Property Rights (CPR) Attains Win at 2012 Texas Republican Party Convention
(firmenpresse) - SOUTHLAKE, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 06/11/12 -- Citizens For Property Rights (CPR) congratulates the 2012 Texas Republican Party Convention Delegates for including in their Platform the following position regarding Energy:
"We encourage a comprehensive energy policy that allows more development of domestic energy sources and reduces our need for foreign energy. Energy policy should be cooperative, economically viable without taxpayer funded subsidies and environmentally safe, but not restricted by overzealous environmental activism."
Further the nearly 8,000 Delegates voted in the platform the following supplemental statement: "We support land drilling and production operations including hydraulic fracturing."
Keith Houser, Secretary of CPR, attended the 2012 Convention as an elected Delegate representing Republican residents of Precinct 3039 in the City of Southlake, Texas Senate District 9 and Texas Congressional District 24. Mr. Houser wholeheartedly voted in favor of the Energy Platform Resolutions. The Texas Republican Party is the largest in the nation and is growing rapidly due to the ineffective and devastating policies of the Obama Administration. Texas is proof that a state properly run, can operate within budget, limited government and still create jobs without an increase in taxes.
Delegate Houser also met with current, incumbent and those Republican candidates seeking an elected position this fall on the Texas Railroad Commission which overseas oil and gas drilling in Texas. Mr. Houser further met with Texas Attorney General Greg Abbot at the convention.
CPR was formed to educate Texas citizens of their constitutional rights to safely secure royalties from their mineral estates on their owned properties.
"We always want safety first, but not to extremes," said Houser. "It was encouraging to meet thousands of concerned Texas citizens over safely improving domestic energy development and retaining our Constitutionally guaranteed mineral property rights."
