14 Year-Old Interviews Co-Star of The Listener!
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 06/11/12 -- Adrian Mark, a grade 9 student in Toronto, Ontario had a unique opportunity that not many teenagers get to have. He had the amazing experience of interviewing Ennis Esmer, one of the co-stars of The Listener.
How did Adrian come across such a once in a lifetime opportunity? Through Lisa Phillips, the founder and Camp Director of Horizon Arts Camp, where Adrian spends his summers majoring in performing arts. Lisa launched a blog called The Artistic Edge, born out of her desire to discuss how experiences in the arts can influence a child's development of crucial life skills, and ultimately their success in life. Through her work, she has found a gap between what young people know about careers in the arts and reality. Creating encounters between successful arts professionals and aspiring young artists was the perfect way to narrow this gap.
Connecting With My Future is an exciting new interview series featuring discussions between successful musicians, actors, dancers, and artists, and children who are aspiring to achieve the same goals. Kids ask their burning questions and professionals tell their compelling stories about their journey to success. Lisa explains, "It is my hope that this series will inspire young people who have a passion for the arts to pursue artistic careers and realize that with hard work and dedication, it is possible."
The Listener is a one-hour dramatic television series produced by Shaftesbury in association with CTV and Fox International Channels about Toby Logan (Craig Olejnik), a young paramedic with the ability to read people's minds. Ennis Esmer plays Osman 'Oz' Bey, Toby's wisecracking best friend and paramedic partner. The highly-anticipated third season can be seen Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV with encore episodes Sundays at 7 p.m. ET/PT. Ennis's credits also include The L.A. Complex, Murdoch Mysteries, co-host of Wipeout Canada, and Covert Affairs.
