(firmenpresse) - SEATTLE, WASHINGTON -- (Marketwire) -- 06/11/12 -- VentriPoint Diagnostics Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: VPT)(OTCQX: VPTDF) is pleased to announce that Mayo Clinic has joined its multi-centre clinical trial to evaluate the use of an ultrasound diagnostic tool (the VMS™ heart analysis system) for patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Robert Frantz, M.D., a consultant in the Cardiovascular Division and Associate Professor of Medicine, College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic is the lead investigator for the clinical trial site in Rochester, MN.
The VMS™ is for investigational use only in the United States and is approved for sale and clinical use in Canada and Europe. VentriPoint is pursuing US-FDA approval through the 510(k) process.
