Sama Resources Appoints Dr. Stephen Beresford to Its Board of Directors
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/07/12 -- Sama Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: SME) ("Sama" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment today of Dr. Stephen Beresford to the Company's Board of Directors. The appointment of Dr. Beresford as a director of Sama is subject to regulatory approval.
Dr. Marc-Antoine Audet, President and CEO of Sama, stated: "Sama is extremely pleased to have Dr. Beresford join Sama's Board of Directors. His broad geological expertise will help guide Sama in developing its West African projects in the years to come."
Dr. Beresford is currently Chief Geologist for Melbourne-based Minmetals Resources Limited (HKSE 1208). He has held various positions with WMC Resources Limited and BHP Billiton. He was also a director of Perth-based Newgenco and a Professor at the University of Western Australia. Dr. Beresford obtained his B.Sc (Honours First Class) and Ph.D (Geology) from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

The Company also announces that it has granted today an aggregate total of 1,590,000 incentive stock options to certain directors, officers and consultants of Sama pursuant to its Stock Option Plan and certain vesting provisions. These options will be exercisable at a price of $0.32 per share and will expire on June 6, 2017. The grant of the stock options is subject to regulatory approval.
