Robert Wilson Joins SmithGroupJJR, Strengthens Expertise in Workplace and Interior Design Projects

Wilson makes the move to SmithGroupJJR from VOA Associates, Inc., where he served as a senior vice president and technical director in its Chicago office.
Wilson's career has been marked by involvement in a range of interior architecture projects for clients across the corporate, retail, hospitality and healthcare markets. Notable projects include build-out of MillerCoors 108,000 square foot corporate offices in Chicago, Ill.; initial space planning for the Abu Dhabi Financial Center, a two million-square foot mixed development on Sowwah Island in the United Arab Emirates; and leading construction management activities for expansion of Deloitte's 420,000 square foot offices in Chicago, Ill.
In his new role, Wilson will serve in a leadership role for key office and workplace projects. He will also work to identify marketing opportunities for the firm in the corporate and public sectors.
Wilson graduated from University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Art and Architecture with a bachelor's degree in architecture. He is involved with the American Institute of Architects (AIA), International Facility Management Association (IFMA), and International Interior Design Association (IIDA). He is also a member of Rotary International's Rotary One and is active with the Boy Scouts of America.
A native of Chicago, Ill., Wilson currently resides in San Francisco, Calif.
