Rare Moment in Fundraising for Charity Ball for Hope
Non-profit organization aiding development projects in Sri Lanka meets fundraising goal before the launch of fundraising campaign
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 05/30/12 -- The Charity Ball for Hope would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to their sponsors and supporters for helping them surpass their 2012 campaign goal of $30,000 before the official launch of the fundraising campaign.
The is an apolitical non-profit organization aiding specific development projects in Sri Lanka for disadvantaged children, youth and women, in regions impacted by poverty, conflict and natural disaster.
In light of this exciting news and given the generosity of their sponsors, partners and the Canadian Tamil community, they will soon revisit and increase the 2012 goal.
"I think it speaks volumes about the kindness of Canadians that we have been able to beat our target before we have even held our annual Charity Ball, " said Vidhya Magendran, founding member of the Charity Ball for Hope. "Our volunteers are buoyed, we have new and old donors who have committed to our new campaign and we look forward to announcing our new goal for the 2012 Charity Ball very soon."
The volunteer team held their first ever Toronto event, , in September 2011. By all accounts a successful event, it was sold out a month before the date and raised $25,000 on one night for projects focused on disadvantaged communities in the north and east of Sri Lanka.
In a few short weeks, the volunteer team will be launching their 2012 campaign, announcing the recipient charities, unveiling the much-anticipated theme of this year's Charity Ball and revealing their revised goal.

Charity Ball for Hope is an apolitical non-profit organization aiding specific development projects in Sri Lanka for disadvantaged children, youth and women in regions impacted by poverty, conflict and natural disaster.
