ContiTech Exhibits State-of-the-art Suspension Systems at the Rail + Metro China
The railway engineering segment of ContiTech has been active with primary and secondary suspension systems in China for more than 30 years
(PresseBox) - From May 30 to June 1, ContiTech is exhibiting at the Rail + Metro fair in Shanghai, China. The systems manufacturer of suspension systems for rail vehicles will be exhibiting at booth MA049 in hall N1. Primarily state-of-the-art suspension systems for primary and secondary suspension, as well as MEGI® brand hydro springs, conical springs and buffers will be on exhibit there.
ContiTech is amongst the frontrunners in the booming Chinese economy. With its railway engineering unit, the company has already been doing business in China for 30 years, equipping rail vehicles with primary and secondary suspension systems. ContiTech air spring systems have been deployed in the high-tech Velaro China, CRH3-380 and Zefiro CRH1-380 trains as well as the Maglev (Transrapid) and Chinastar. ContiTech is also strongly represented in subway trains in the country¹s large metropolitan areas. Its equipment is found in trains on Shanghai¹s eleven metro lines, for example, but also in the metro systems in Hong Kong, Nan-Jing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Shenzhen. The hub of ContiTech¹s operations in China is its modern plant in Changshu. From this hub, ContiTech supplies its entire Chinese market.
As a development partner and manufacturer for original equipment, ContiTech develops complete suspension concepts and system solutions for primary and secondary suspension systems. By using high quality materials and material combinations, the company is able to satisfy the most stringent requirements in terms of safety, comfort, speed and vehicle noise reduction while upping the economic efficiency of freight and passenger transport. With the certification to ISO 9001, TS 16949 and IRIS, the test laboratory has fulfilled top requirements already for many years. Since 2012, the test laboratory of ContiTech has been accredited for various testing procedures in accordance with DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025. The business unit thus has at its disposal the world's only test lab for rail vehicle air spring systems that has been officially certified as independent.
