Acme Packet Unveils New Products to Scale the Next-Generation Signaling Core
Offerings Combine Powerful Control Features and Performance for SIP and Diameter Routing
(firmenpresse) - MIAMI, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 05/17/12 -- (NASDAQ: APKT), at its annual Interconnect customer conference, today unveiled new offerings to help service provider customers address the explosion in signaling traffic across IP communications networks and scale their next-generation signaling cores as they expand to support long term evolution (LTE) and voice over LTE (VoLTE). These offerings include a new platform for Acme Packet's Diameter signaling controller (DSC) and session routing proxy (SRP) solutions, new features for the DSC, and new management capabilities to improve planning and troubleshooting for session delivery networks.

The Acme Packet Net-Net 7000, a new platform that supports Acme Packet's Net-Net Diameter Director and Net-Net Session Router products. Using Acme Packet Server Edition technology, this platform consists of the Net-Net OS installed on a third-party server for high-performance processing in a simple, turnkey solution. The Net-Net 7000 is optimized for scalable core session initiation protocol (SIP) and Diameter routing, and is capable of processing hundreds of thousands of messages or transactions per second.
New enhancements to Acme Packet's DSC, featuring capabilities for supporting large capacity Subscriber Location Function (SLF) with external routing database support, as well as active-active redundancy for solution level resiliency without disrupting any live sessions.
A new Report Manager application in Acme Packet's Net-Net Central management solution that improves IP communications network planning and troubleshooting, and collects data across the Acme Packet Net-Net product portfolio. The capabilities in the Report Manager complement those offered in the customer experience management suite, which was recently added to Acme Packet's portfolio from the acquisition of IPTEGO.
