Contra Costa Winegrowers Association Announces Award-Winners in Contra Costa County Fair Commercial Wine Competition
(firmenpresse) - CONCORD, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/16/12 -- The Contra Costa Winegrowers Association today announced the Contra Costa County Fair Commercial Wine Competition award winners. A panel of esteemed judges, including restaurateurs, wine educators, winemakers and members of the wine industry press judged more than 60 wines from a variety of appellations in 21 categories.
"We are excited to announce this year's award-winners, which reflect the wide range of varietals grown in Contra Costa County," said John Viano, Chairman of the Contra Costa Winegrower's Association. "Congratulations to all the participants and winners. We look forward to sharing these fabulous, limited production wines from local winemakers at the upcoming County Fair, which we expect to offer a not-to-be-missed wine-tasting experience."
Wine enthusiasts will be able to sample the award-winning wines at , from May 31 to June 3, 2012 at 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm daily at the Contra Costa Winegrowers Association booth at Sunset Hall. Best of Show wines will only be offered on Saturday, June 2, 2012. The winning wines include:
