Bechtel Receives Boeing Performance Excellence Award
Company Recognized for Work at the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense Project
(firmenpresse) - FREDERICK, MD -- (Marketwire) -- 05/16/12 -- Bechtel National, Inc. has been named a Boeing Performance Excellence Award recipient for its work at the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) project in 2011. Boeing presents the award annually to recognize suppliers that have achieved and sustained superior performance.
The Boeing rating of Bechtel is based on an assessment in five categories including cost, technical, management, quality, and schedule. The ratings are given at five levels -- gold, silver, bronze, yellow, and red. Bechtel maintained a minimum composite silver rating for each month of performance from October 1, 2010, to September 30, 2011.
"This assessment is conducted by various Boeing subject matter experts in each category who have significant involvement with Bechtel's performance or utilize our deliverables," says Joe Brown, Bechtel's GMD project manager. "Bechtel was rated either gold or silver for all 12 months of the period in each of the categories above, as well as on a composite basis."
