Intuitive Bio Acquires Assets of Gentel Biosciences
(firmenpresse) - MADISON, WI -- (Marketwire) -- 05/16/12 -- Intuitive Biosciences, Inc. is pleased to announce its agreement to acquire the animal health and research tools assets and businesses of Gentel Biosciences. Intuitive is focused on serological tests for animal health and research and testing tools for the pharmaceutical, CRO, and academic research markets. The acquisition of Gentel's products for testing non-human primates, including the Colony Surveillance Assays and a ground-breaking screening test for tuberculosis, is consistent with Intuitive's strategy to grow its line of diagnostic products for the research animal market.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2012.
Intuitive Bio is a privately held company that is focused on developing and commercializing proprietary biomarkers for animal health, including non-human primates and production and companion animals. Intuitive also serves that pharmaceutical, CRO, and academic research markets through the sale of research tools and the development of custom multiplex assays. Intuitive Bio is located in Madison, Wis.
