New Beachy Cream 100% Organic Ice Cream Store Sweetens up Santa Monica
(firmenpresse) - LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/10/12 -- The 100% organic ice cream company, Beachy Cream, opened a new store at 1209 Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica, Calif. on May 5. As the only organic ice cream company in Los Angeles, local residents and businesses are in for a treat. People are buzzing about Beachy Cream's uniquely flavored and ice cream sandwiches, made in small batches from fresh, locally sourced, sustainable ingredients. The famous pin-up styled Girls will serve ice cream sandwiches in signature flavors, including Key Lime Cowabunga and Ginger Wipeout, and sixteen ice cream flavors for cones and sundaes, like Coffee Toffee (made with Groundwork's "B***hes Brew" coffee), Lemon Basil Sorbet, Fresh Mint Brownie Chunk, Brown Butter Praline and Fresh Coconut. Also available, a dairy-free, ice cream sandwich called "DaKine" featuring chocolate chip cookies with a cashew and coconut based "ice cream."
will offer customers special deals throughout the month of May. Patrons who purchase a scoop of ice cream (cone or cup) will receive a complimentary second scoop; a six-pack of pre-packaged Beachy Cream ice cream sandwiches will be on special for $25; every week during May, customers can win a six-pack of pre-packaged Beachy Cream ice cream sandwiches by filling out a card at the store.
On June 2, Beachy Cream will host an official grand opening event from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., including a ribbon cutting ceremony, free ice cream samples, and every hour on the hour, there will be a drawing for a Beachy Cream prize. Customers will have the opportunity to take pictures with the vintage-style Beachy Cream Girls and participate in a "design the best combination" for the chance to win sweet prizes. The Taco Maniaco food truck will be parked in front of Beachy Cream, serving customers delicious tacos from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For hungry night owls, the Sura Truck will serve their signature Corean Rice Bowls from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Beachy Cream's Founder Ann Ryan's inspiration for the company was a combination of fond memories of summers spent on Cape Cod, hip coastal surfers, and family recipes. Later, her daughter Beth Stockwell and longtime friend and master baker, Debbie Kimble, joined the company as partners. "We're excited to bring our first Beachy Cream parlor to Santa Monica," says Ryan. "We know the residents appreciate our unique flavors and high-quality organic treats and that Beachy Cream will become a tourist destination."
