Media Advisory: Arrival of the 17th and Final CC-130J Hercules
(firmenpresse) - 8 WING TRENTON, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 05/10/12 -- Media are invited to join the Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence, and Lieutenant-General Andre Deschamps, Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force, for a ceremony to welcome the arrival of the 17th and final aircraft of Canada's new CC-130J Hercules fleet.
When: Friday, May 11, 2012, 12:10 p.m. (EST).
Where: 2 Air Movements Squadron Passenger Terminal, CFB Trenton, off Highway 2.
What: The last of the 17 new CC-130J Hercules tactical airlift aircraft will arrive at 8 Wing Trenton. The ceremony will also feature some of the fleet's capabilities, including the Container Delivery System (CDS) drop and tactical airlift support for the Skyhawks parachute demonstration team.
Notes to editor / news director: Media are requested to register no later than 4:30 p.m. on May 10, and to meet the Wing Public Affairs Officer (PAO) at the main lobby of the 2 Air Movements Squadron Passenger Terminal, CFB Trenton no later than 11:30 a.m. on May 11 where they will be escorted from the main lobby of the Passenger Terminal to the venue. Parking spots are available outside the terminal.
