Astro Pak Promotes Kirk Pilling to Assistant Quality Manager at Its Downey, CA Cleanroom
(firmenpresse) - COSTA MESA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/09/12 -- Astro Pak Corporation today announced the promotion of Kirk Pilling to Assistant Quality Manger at its Downey, CA cleanroom. Mr. Pilling will be responsible for aiding in the oversight of the location's production quality as well as quality systems. Mr. Pilling also serves as a member of the Leadership team at the California cleanroom location.
Mr. Pilling brings over 7 years of experience in Customer Service, Quality and Leadership. Pilling joined the company in 2009 and has served in a variety of roles. Prior to joining Astro Pak, Mr. Pilling worked in the Aviation Industry as a Professional Pilot and Instructor.
"Kirk has demonstrated the ability and passion to help manage our high volume parts-processing facility -- and ensuring that our quality standards are met or exceeded," said Dr. Brent Ekstrand, Vice President of Technology and Quality at Astro Pak. "He is a terrific fit on the Quality team, and is helping our company to deliver consistent and high quality service."
Among Mr. Pilling's many accomplishments at Astro Pak, he played a key role in the quality oversight and coordination efforts as the AS9100 / ISO 9001 certified cleanroom underwent a major expansion, which positions it as the largest and most modern contract precision-cleaning cleanroom in the United States.
Mr. Pilling earned his BS in Aeronautics from the University of North Dakota, and resides in Southern California.
