Unipex Group Increases its Product Offering for the Pharmaceutical Industry in North America
(firmenpresse) - QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 05/09/12 -- We are pleased to announce that on May 4, 2012, Unipex Group, through its wholly owned Canadian subsidiary, Unipex Solutions Canada Inc., has acquired Debro Pharma Inc. from Debro Chemicals Inc.
Debro Pharma is a privately owned company based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada whose primary business activities relate to the commercialization of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) sourced globally and sold to key customers in the pharmaceutical industry in Canada and the United States.
By acquiring Debro Pharma, Unipex Solutions Canada continues to expand its product offering to pharmaceutical manufacturers in Canada and the United States. "Until now, our North American distribution activities in the pharmaceutical sector were mainly focused on excipients. The acquisition of Debro Pharma allows our North American operations to benefit from the valuable resources joining our sales and regulatory teams and to offer a whole new range of products to our customers", said Patrice Barthelmes, CEO of the Unipex Group.
