Berlin Marriott's Midtown Grill Announces Renovations and Menu Changes

Located inside the Marriott , the Midtown Grill now allows guests tantalizing choices from a live outdoor barbeque with an impressive selection of steaks -- salmon, tuna, ostrich, t-bone and rump among the menu offerings. The restaurant's stylish downtown flair and delicious cocktails add to the flavorful experience of the Midtown Grill's distinctive terrace restaurant and relaxing .
"Of course the giant steaks prepared on the grill according to American tradition are, and will continue to be our trademark," explains Head Chef Thomas Czerwionke who leads the expertise behind this large and unique lava stone grill. Although created in American tradition, the 35-year-old Czerwionke purchases the ingredients for his daily creations largely from suppliers in and around Berlin. "The key to our food preparation is fresh, seasonal products," he says.
The restaurant's recent renovation allows for an increased seating capacity of 200 guests with the front area of the Midtown Grill offering two novelties: straight from the cool cabinet to the plate -- well hung "meat on the rocks" can be viewed through the large display window of the show kitchen's refrigerated cabinet and personally selected when ordering.
"When guests order a 400g rib eye steak, they can watch while it is cut to their personal specification," explains Czerwionke.
In the lounge of this newly renovated restaurant, business guests can enjoy "business class" while meeting with a client over a meal and private catered dining is also available as a private dining room, located in the back of the facility, provides elegant, yet comfortable dining in a discrete atmosphere.
Other restaurant features include a private wine safe for the convenience of regular guests and a thrifty rewards card that provides locals with special lunch pricing that includes complimentary dry cleaning and a 10 percent discount on Midtown Grill meals, cocktails in the CATWALK Bar and internal or external catering events.
The Midtown Grill is open from 6:30 to 11 a.m. and noon to 11 p.m., Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
