Bob Lutz Speaks Out on Electric Vehicles and VIA Motors in a Global Webcast at the 26th Electric Vehicle Symposium in L.A.
(firmenpresse) - LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/09/12 -- Bob Lutz, known as one of the auto industry's most influential leaders, and more recently for his passionate support of the Chevy Volt, arrived in Los Angeles last night to speak out in support of the growing international electric vehicle movement and to introduce a new extended range electric truck by . Mr. Lutz is a featured speaker at the 26th annual held this year at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Lutz will speak in a global webcast at the concluding plenary session from 10:00 am to 11:30 am PDT, Wednesday, May 9, 2012 as part of an interactive industry panel titled "The Campaign for Electric Vehicle Adoption." Mr. Lutz will discuss the transformation of the auto industry, the Chevy Volt and several new electric vehicles coming to market later this year.

In addition to speaking at the event, Bob Lutz will introduce the new full-size extended range electric trucks by VIA Motors in a ride-and-drive for the media and the general public at the show. The extended-range electric trucks are similar in concept to the Chevy Volt and can drive 40 miles on battery, with unlimited extended range using an onboard generator, averaging over 100 mpg for typical drivers.
