Large majority of votes for all agenda items
Dortmund, May 8, 2012: ELMOS Semiconductor AG held its 13th Annual General
Meeting today. As in the past years, the shareholders actively exercised
their voting rights and resolved all agenda items with broad approval.
Particular appeal to shareholders had the dividend increase by 25% to 0.25
Euro per share.
'ELMOS closed the year 2011 with positive sales and earnings figures.
However, as expected, the start of the new financial year 2012 was slow.
Together with anticipated higher sales, a bundle of measures launched in
April 2012 is expected to increase the quality of earnings in the 2nd
half-year significantly again. Yet the global economic conditions remain
fragile,' says Dr. Anton Mindl, CEO of ELMOS Semiconductor AG.
Among other topics, Dr. Mindl presented the progress made in Asia in the
speech he gave at the Annual General Meeting. In this region, ELMOS opened
two new locations in Shanghai (China) and Singapore in the past year, in
addition to the already existing office in Seoul (South Korea). Moreover,
Dr. Mindl introduced product innovations for the automobile and for
industrial and consumer goods. Using these ELMOS products allow customers
to gain a competitive edge based on lower power consumption, higher safety,
or better comfort.
The dividend will be paid on May 9, 2012 to all shareholders who held ELMOS
shares on May 8, 2012.
