It's a fact that in-car smartphone usage is a dangerous driving distraction, and manually adjusting phone settings before getting on the road is a time-consuming hassle. Cobra JoyRide for Android is a smart car charger designed to automatically personalize the owner's smartphone settings when entering and exiting their vehicle. This advancement in automotive safety and convenience leverages the Android™ Open Accessory Framework to initiate phone events and configurable settings automatically just by connecting the Android smartphone via micro-USB to the Cobra JoyRide charger.
The free companion Android app communicates with the JoyRide Charger, opening up a whole new world of automotive convenience and personalization. Pushing a single button on the 12V JoyRide smart charger can initiate phone calls, launch voice commands, share information about road hazards and live police, pause and play music, and even launch GPS navigation apps or other favorite in-car applications. The streamlined and intuitive interface also gives users control over power settings for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth®. The Cobra JoyRide application can also save the GPS location of the owner's vehicle on the Android phone and help them find their parking spot.
