Chevrolet-Buick-GMC-Cadillac April Sales
(firmenpresse) - OSHAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 05/01/12 -- Chevrolet Sonic sales increased nearly 80 per cent in April and Canadian customers continued to embrace the Chevrolet Cruze, as it represented nearly 50 per cent of all GM car sales in the month. Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac dealers reported 21,090 deliveries in April 2012.
"At General Motors, our product renaissance is continuing and is reflected in the sales of our fuel-efficient Chevrolet Sonic, urban-friendly Cruze and versatile Orlando," said Marc Comeau, vice-president of sales, service and marketing at GM of Canada. "For this year, we will have all-new or significantly refreshed cars and crossovers in segments representing a significant portion of the retail light vehicle industry, including the Chevrolet Spark and Malibu, Buick Encore, GMC Acadia and the Cadillac XTS and ATS."
On a selling-day adjusted basis, GM total sales were up 5.4 per cent in April, with Chevrolet sales up 2.1 per cent, Buick sales up 11.6 per cent and GMC sales up 15.7 per cent. There were three fewer selling days in April 2012 than a year ago.

Total GM sales were down 6.8 per cent compared to last April, on a non-adjusted basis.
