ID: 1107771

(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/26/12 -- Construction management experts at the University of Calgary's Schulich School of Engineering have developed a system that uses high-tech tracking devices to improve safety on construction sites. This will help prevent materials from being placed too close to edges and falling off buildings.

The system uses Ultra Wide-Band signals, a type of radio-frequency technology, to track the location of objects in real time. Monitoring the location of people, equipment and building materials will reduce accidents on worksites.

The goal is to increase efficiency in the construction industry while improving safety for workers and the general public.
