BrightScope Announces Third Annual Top 25 List of Atlanta-Based Companies With the Best 401k Plans
For the Third Straight Year, BrightScope CEO Will Speak and Highlight List at Plan Sponsor Consultants Breakfast With Benefits at Atlanta's Ritz Carlton Buckhead

BrightScope obtains an increasing amount of its data directly from plan sponsors and record keepers, and augments these primary sources with data from publicly available sources such as the Department of Labor and the Securities and Exchange Commission. By analyzing and interpreting this data, BrightScope provides unprecedented transparency into the 401k industry.

First appearances: This year's No. 1 spot is held by AXIS Specialty U.S. Services, Inc., which is the company's first appearance on the list; Georgia Transmission Corporation and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications USA, Inc. make their initial appearances on the list with a No.2 and No. 3 ranking respectively; ING Life Insurance and Annuity Co. is a newcomer at No. 23
Increase in rankings: Delta Airlines moves up from 14th to 11th making its third consecutive appearance on the list; King & Spaulding LLP moves up one spot to No. 4; Kurt Salmon Associates, Inc. moves up 7 spots from No. 17 to No. 10
Decrease in ranking: McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP falls 11 spots from No. 9 to No. 20; Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP falls from 3rd to 8th in the rankings; Alston & Bird, LLP drops 3 spots from No. 6. to No. 9
