Mike Philbrick to Head New Downtown Toronto Office
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 04/24/12 -- Macquarie Private Wealth today announced the appointment of Mike Philbrick, Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager, as Branch Manager for the firm's newest office in Brookfield Place in downtown Toronto. Mr. Philbrick will lead an expanding team of advisors as Macquarie continues to add numbers to its ranks of top practitioners.

The branch Mr. Philbrick leads occupies the 33rd floor of prestige address Brookfield Place on Bay Street. Macquarie Private Wealth also occupies the 32nd floor of the same building, where Allan Bramson remains manager of a 44-advisor office.
The decision to expand into a new branch comes as a result of unprecedented growth for Macquarie, which passed the 200-adivsor mark in December and now numbers more than 210 practitioners in 12 offices across Canada, from Victoria to Montreal.

In addition to his role as Branch Manager, Mr. Philbrick will sit on the management committee and serve on a number of Macquarie's internal boards and committees.
Mr. Philbrick, a Chartered Investment Manager, Accredited Investment Fiduciary Professional (AIFP) and Portfolio Manager, joined Macquarie Private Wealth in late 2011. He will continue as part of Butler/Philbrick/Gordillo and Associates within Macquarie Private Wealth. Mr. Philbrick was formerly director of wealth management and Toronto branch manager at another firm. In addition to his many years in the financial services field, Mr. Philbrick is a former football player who played with the Hamilton Ti-Cats for eight years, winning the Grey Cup in 1999.
