Intimate and Glamorous Dressing Room Features Vintage Pieces and Portraiture Artwork

This years' showcase is a lovely and historic Classical Revival home with four distinct levels, boasting views of the San Francisco Bay. The 2012 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, including the master dressing room designed by Kriste, will be open for viewing from April 28th - May 28th.
"Now in its 35th year, the SF Decorator Showcase is truly a historic event. I'm honored to help transform this classical home into a spectacular design showcase," said Kriste Michelini, owner of Kriste Michelini Interiors. "We wanted the master dressing room to be a feminine place for the woman of the home to retreat to. The space is filled with vintage pieces and artwork, anchored with custom furnishings, including a vanity from Brazil. We are thrilled to be a part in decorating this one-of-a-kind classical home in the heart of San Francisco."
The master dressing room is both intimate and glamorous, filled with vintage pieces and portraiture artwork. Metallic elements, such as the light fixture, suspended hanging rod and the glass table lamp, heighten the sultry, sensuous mood. The past, present and future were mined in the design of the lady's dressing room. Large black and white sketches next to a stylish Lucite and steel chair add a modicum of the contemporary. A vanity from Brazil, attributed to Giuseppe Scapinelli, and the recently made ottoman anchors the space to create a room that is both elegant and au courant. An ode to femininity, the design creates an intimate space for the lady of the house.
This year's Showcase will run from April 28th - May 28th, with a special press preview on Wednesday, April 25 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Kriste Michelini will be available during the press day to showcase the key design elements and features of the glamorous master dressing room. For thirty-five years, the San Francisco Decorator Showcase has benefited San Francisco University High School's financial aid program.
