Ubisense VeroTrack(R) Gas Leak Detection Software Deployed at Three North American Utilities
(firmenpresse) - DENVER, COLORADO -- (Marketwire) -- 04/24/12 -- Ubisense Inc., a subsidiary of Ubisense Group plc, has successfully deployed its VeroTrack® gas leak detection solution at two North American utilities. A third utility has selected VeroTrack® for deployment this year. In total, the utilities will use VeroTrack® to survey over 11,500 miles of natural gas distribution and transmission pipeline covering 92,000 square miles.
VeroTrack® is as an automated surveying solution that uses Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to capture real-time gas leak survey data. The solution reduces the cost associated with performing regularly required surveys for gas distribution and transmission pipeline networks. With VeroTrack® utilities can track surveyed facilities and gas leaks in the field ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

VeroTrack® is available for use on handheld devices and laptop computers, and works with major gas detectors to automatically capture gas concentration as facilities are surveyed. The solution provides an auditable record of each survey and integrates with back-office systems. VeroTrack® was developed with support from the Gas Technology Institute.
