RIB Software AG: Successful quarterly result thanks to significant 106.7%
growth in iTWO software revenues.
EBIT margin reaches 36.7% for the first time
STUTTGART, 24 April 2012. RIB Software AG (ISIN DE000A0Z2XN6), which
professes to be the world market leader for integrated BIM ERP solutions
for the global construction industry, published its preliminary results for
the first quarter of 2012 (1 January to 31 March) today. All figures are
rounded or approximations and have not been audited.
The unaudited preliminary figures indicate a year-on-year revenue increase
of 14.7% to EUR 10.9 million in the first quarter of 2012 (Q1 2011: EUR 9.5
million). Adjusted by the IPO costs in 2011 and currency effects, earnings
before interest and taxes (EBIT) increased 25% to EUR 4.0 million (Q1 2011:
EUR 3.2 million) due to the surge in iTWO licence revenues (+106.7%), thus
reaching an EBIT margin of 36.7% for the first time.
Software revenues from iTWO BIM ERP underwent a significant increase of
106.7% to EUR 3.1 million (Q1 2011: EUR 1.5 million). In the first quarter,
the iTWO licence revenues from large customers in the key account segment
improved 133.3% to EUR 2.1 million (Q1 2011: EUR 0.9 million), a figure
that includes a 600% increase of the software revenues from international
customers to EUR 0.7 million. iTWO license revenues with SMBs in Germany
increased 150% to EUR 1.0 million (Q1 2011: EUR 0.4 million). In total, the
software revenues underwent a year-on-year increase of 32.6% to EUR 5.7
million in the first quarter (Q1 2011: EUR 4.3 million).
Service revenues went up 5.1% to EUR 4.1 million (Q1 2011: EUR 3.9
million), and consulting revenues amounted to EUR 1.1 million, slightly
less than in the corresponding prior-year period (EUR 1.3 million).
Michael Sauer, CFO of the RIB Group: 'We have made great progress towards
our goal of increasing phase II deals in this year by 100% in comparison to
2011. We already successfully concluded two phase II contracts with
Heinrich Schmid, one of the largest and most successful businesses in the
construction and development industry in Europe, and with the
Turkish-Russian construction group Renaissance Construction, one of the
world's top 100 enterprises in the international construction industry in
the first quarter. Given the well-stocked offer pipeline, we expect further
phase II deals in the coming weeks.'
RIB Software AG will publish the interim report from January to March 2012
on Monday, 7 May. On this date, a telephone conference for investors and
analysts will be held at 11 a.m. (CEST).
