Waterway Ave Apartments in The Woodlands Recognized for Green Measures & Impact on Houston Area
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 04/23/12 -- The Millennium Waterway Ave is making an impact on the greater Houston area, and gaining recognition for doing so. The just won the 2012 Landmark Award in the Multifamily category. The Millennium also earned its developer the Partnership for Innovative Energy Solutions earlier this year.

The Partnership for Innovative Energy Solutions, awarded by the Energy Solutions Center, is reserved for companies working with their energy utility system to implement an innovative energy efficient technology or solution. The installation of efficient natural gas ranges and combination space and water heating units at The Millennium Waterway earned The Dinerstein Cos. and CenterPoint Energy this honor in February.
The Millennium Waterway was also named a finalist in the Green category for the 2012 Landmark Awards. Presented by Stewart Title and co-sponsored by The Hunton Group, Cokinos, Bosien & Young Law Firm, Comcast Business Class and the US Green Building Council, the Landmark Awards winners were announced April 19 during a ceremony hosted by the Houston Business Journal at the Houstonian Hotel.
Designed as a luxury sustainable apartment community, The Millennium Waterway Ave is a joint venture between The Dinerstein Cos. and The Woodlands Development Co. In 2011 the four-story, 393-unit project became the area's first , and is one of the greenest apartments in Texas.
