Minister Toews Statement on Apprehensions from the "Wanted by the CBSA" List
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 04/20/12 -- The Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety, made the following statement regarding today's announcement by the Canada Border Services Agency on the apprehension of two more individuals, Kenroy Clifford Davis and Canute Cedric Green, from the "Wanted by the CBSA" list. Both are inadmissible to Canada on grounds of serious criminality.
"The apprehension of these two individuals demonstrates our government's ongoing commitment to protect Canadians and secure the safety of our communities," said Minister Toews. "Canada will not be a haven for those who try to enter or live here illegally, who have broken the law and have endangered the safety of our citizens. We remain committed to identifying, detaining and removing those individuals who pose a threat to the safety and security of Canadians.
I commend the Toronto Police Service for their work in apprehending these individuals and congratulate the CBSA on the continued success of the "" program.
