Epic Data's Chinese Joint Venture Wins Contract with JAC Motors
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/18/12 -- Epic Data International Inc. (TSX VENTURE: EKD), a provider of manufacturing execution systems (MES), today announced that its newly launched joint venture with Huazhong University of Science & Technology (HUST) has won a contract to supply a next generation Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co. Ltd. (JAC Motors), a state owned enterprise based in Hefei, China. JAC Motors produced almost 500,000 vehicles in 2011, ranking it as the ninth-largest China-based automaker by unit production.
The next generation MES system will leverage Epic Data's network-centric technology platform and HUST's business process software and extensive Chinese automotive industry expertise. The MES system will be live in late 2012.

The Epic-HUST joint venture operation, which is based in the Central China city of Wuhan in Hubei Province, started operations in March, 2012. The joint venture is also currently engaged in delivering a new MES solution for Shaanxi Automobile Group, one of China's largest truck manufacturers.
