United States Beverage Is Named U.S. Importer of John Smith's Extra Smooth Ale
John Smith's Extra Smooth Ale, the UK's #1 Selling English Ale, Will Be Introduced for the First Time in the United States This April
(firmenpresse) - STAMFORD, CT -- (Marketwire) -- 04/18/12 -- John Smith's Extra Smooth Ale, owned by HEINEKEN, is a nitrogenated ale that has a distinct cereal character, with malty, caramel notes complemented by some fruitiness. It comes in a nitrogenated "pub draught" can which contains a widget making the dispensed beer smoother and headier. This English style ale has a gravity of 1.006 and International Bittering Units (IBUs) between 21-25, a lot less than other ales, making it less bitter and easier to drink.
John Smith's Extra Smooth Ale is made with a variety of hops including: Target, Admiral, Magnum, Taurus and Tomahawk. It consists of a small amount of roasted malt and small amount of UK wheat, 100% grown and malted in the UK.

John Smith's Extra Smooth Ale is set to hit select markets this month. It will be available in 14.9oz 4-packs. The brewery was founded in 1758 and John Smith's Extra Smooth Ale was introduced in 1993. It is brewed in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire England.
