The winner will receive a 5-night stay for two, plus airfare, at one of Aqua's boutique Waikiki properties.
Also known as the "Pin It to Win It" contest, entrants are asked: "If you could take the bucket list trip of a lifetime to Hawaii, what would you do?" But a picture is worth a thousand words, and rather than merely explaining their dream trip, contestants are urged to "Pin It" by creating a "Hawaii Bucket List" board on Pinterest.
Pinterest, for the uninitiated, is the internet's newest phenomenon -- a customizable online bulletin board that appeals to all ages. Users promote their identity through the images they select -- things that inspire them or pique their interest.
"Since Hawaii's biggest asset is its stunning scenery, we felt it'd be most appropriate for participants to show rather than tell," says Elizabeth Churchill, Aqua Senior VP of Sales and Marketing.
